Colonial Beekeepers Association
We are a group of beekeepers from the Peninsula and Middle Peninsula areas of Virginia. Members range from as far south as Hampton, to as far north as Middlesex, to as far east as Mathews and all points between. Our purposes are many:
Enjoying the wonders of nature
Fostering the keeping, efficient management, and preservation of honey bees
Providing pollination for local agriculture
Informing members and our communities of the ecological and economic benefits of honey bees
Educating members in the science and techniques of apiculture (Being "beekeepers" and not "bee-havers")
Regular meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month (January through November), from 7 PM to 9 PM, in the Fellowship Hall of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Yorktown (Grafton), VA. The annual December Dinner meeting is held at a local restaurant.
